It turns out that Wayne isn’t on “Suicide Watch” for other inmates in Rikers Island after all. As previously reported, Us Weekly quoted Weezy’s ex wife, Toya Carter revealing the rapper’s new jail occupation.
“Wayne has a job — they got him on suicide watch for other prisoners,” Toya told Us Weekly. “He watches the crazy prisoners and makes sure they don’t kill themselves. He likes the job even though they don’t pay him much.”
The story quickly spread after countless media outlets picked it up. Carter took to Twitter to deny the story this morning. “Goodmorning tweethearts,” she tweeted. “I’m angry this morning:-( who told US weekly to say I told them Wayne have a job…”
“People r Crazy for real I hate when they make false stories up,” she added later “where they do that at?”
I guess the story was too good to be true. Now that I think back, it does feel like a late April Fools joke. I wonder what Weezy’s really up to over there. I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough. What do you guys think? What job do you think Wayne has in there? Sound Off!
